Nadine. A French name, meaning, "hope." Author, book blogger/reviewer, and film lover with a lifelong passion for story.

I'm most interested in generally uplifting fiction reads that have very little to no profanity and no explicit sex or graphic violence. Granted, I'll sometimes read books that include some "PG-13" violence or tragedy, like historical war stories, if the overall messages are still positive or constructive. • Historical fiction is my all-time favorite genre. • Stories featuring ethnic diversity are of special interest to me. • I enjoy novellas just as much as (sometimes more than) longer novels.
I'm a cinephile, appreciating good stories onscreen as much as good stories in books. I've also got quite a love for old-fashioned sitcoms, 1950s to 1980s.
