My Rating Scale

Perfect: made me very happy from beginning to end, funny, contains themes I like, worldbuilding is good, romance is satisfying (if present), makes me want to be a writer again

Great: made me happy beginning to end, one aspect I disliked or wanted more detail on

Very Good: missing an aspect I expected or wanted, was a good read and would recommend to others

Good: had all the elements of a great read but is frustrating to read (prose is lackluster, story doesn't move, love triangle, cliche I hate)

Average: is a serviceable story, something I did not enjoy reading, likely not my preferred genre

Okay: lacking in authorial or editorial follow-through

Bad: elements I could not read or that caused severe distress

Very bad: did not finish, could not finish, would not finish

Why?: put this thing to rest

NOPE: author has...questionable views or content matter is not portrayed with the gravity it needs
