Outstanding: Brilliant writing, story and characters.

Amazingly good. But not quite as good as 5/5 which is flawless. 4.5 will have at least one (mildly) flawed part. But writing, story and characters are just as good.

Very awesome. Has great story (But has flawed scenes) still good writing, and characters that develop well (But not as well as 4.5 and 5)

Very good book. Worth reading and worth buying in paperback. Good writing still but not as flowing or beautiful than the 4,4.5,5.)

Good. Worth reading. But not worth your money. Has flawed writing and characters. But good story still makes the book/movie worth it.

Worth reading only once for a fast paced read. Doesn't have any outstanding plot twists and the writing is bogged down quite a bit. Characters are just ok. Story mediocre.

Getting pretty dull. May be entertaining but not worth reading if you only enjoy perfect books.

Dull. Had meaningless story, was bogged down by unnecessary gratuitous content (Random sex, violence, language). Has cliched scenes. Characters are flawed ect...

Very poor. Not worth reading unless you don't mind sheer awful writing , dumb and unconvincing characters. Lame everything but is not terrible enough to get a half star.

Awful, terrible and just downright BAD! Awful everything. Author failed to write better than a fifth grader writing skill. Characters are unlikeable, dull and terrible written. Story is weak and dull. Not worth any of your time.
